Objective: To analyze the extract of dragon fruit stems from Pelaihari in reducing IgG levels in Pregnant Female Wistar Rats as Immunomodulator Candidates. Method: The research design used experimental. This study on test animals, mice were divided into 5 groups, namely the normal control group, negative control (injected with 10% SDMD antigen), pregnant mice were injected with 10% SDMD antigen + dragon fruit stem extract 500mg, 1000mg and 2000 mg-KgBW-day for 20 days, after which IgG were examined. blood samples were examined, TBARS test analysis, and One Way Anova test analysis. Results: There was an effect of dragon fruit extract on reducing IgG levels in pregnant mice (p<0.05). Doses of 1000mg and 2000mg dragon fruit extract have the ability to decrease IgG levels in pregnant mice, especially at a dose of 2000 mg-KgBW-day. In this case, ‘Hay Bidan’ a structured and systematic online maternal care providing teleconsultation via WhatsApp, became one of strategies to tackle this issue. Nevertheless, patient acceptability became a critical consideration of the quality of healthcare. Objectives: This research explores the experience of patient's acceptability of ‘Hay Bidan’ as an online maternal care during the pandemic. Methods: A qualitative study with phenomenology design was performed through semi-structured interviews. Using purposive sampling, the informants included were women (n=5) and midwives (n=5) during the pandemic from January until March 2022. Thematic analysis was carried out according to Colaizzi's method approach. Results: ‘Hay Bidan’ was perceived as acceptable and fit with participant values. The researchers analyzed two main themes: the effectiveness of the health accessibility and the satisfaction with midwifery quality care. In addition, they reported that it was helpful regarding ease of use, flexibility, midwives' competencies, and attitude. Conclusion: This study showed that a systematic and structured online consultation management service using WhatsApp through the ‘Hay Bidan’ serviced, is acceptable and can be an alternative during the pandemic. This is because of its ease of use in terms of affordability, simplicity, and flexibility, and served by competent and well-behaved midwives. Besides, it can also help other health providers handle the patients due to COVID-19. This scoping review aims to analyze articles discussing spices and fruits that can reduce the carcinogenic compounds Heterocyclic Amines and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons to prevent cancer in animal protein sources (meat, fish, and their processed products). A total of 2,400 studies were identified during the database search. After excluding studies that did not meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 3 studies were obtained. Since the search with these criteria yielded few results, a snowballing technique was adopted to search for studies, resulting in 76 studies found through backward searching and 62 studies found through forward searching. After excluding studies that did not meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 5 studies were found through backward searching and 2 studies were found through forward searching, with a total of 10 studies obtained. Keyword analysis indicated a notable transition towards emerging pollutants, with research on microplastics rising from 1.2% to 12.7% and PFAS from 2.3% to 9.8%. Citation study revealed that open-access articles earned 31% more citations, whilst globally co-authored papers obtained 22% more citations. Network analysis identified specialized research groupings and possible collaboration deficiencies. This study suggests that the discipline is swiftly advancing, with heightened emphasis on emerging water pollutants and expanding global collaboration. It also recognizes the necessity for enhanced multidisciplinary approaches and initiatives to address partnership gaps. These findings offer significant insights for researchers, politicians, and funding organizations to efficiently guide future initiatives in alleviating water-related cancer risks.
Tien Zubaidah, Norlaila Sofia, Lenie Marlinae, M.
